What is KTP?

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is Europe's leading programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base. These programmes have been run for over 30 years with more than 1,000 schemes completed throughout the UK.

Companies can employ one or more high calibre Associates (recently qualified people) to work on a project, which is core to the strategic development of the business.

PDR is one of the UK's leading exponents of KTP - allowing organsiations to access the expertise within PDR and transfer these capabilities into their own company.

PDR can place a highly skilled and experienced graduate into your company. Supported and monitored by one of PDR's qualified experts, your company will acquire new specialist knowledge and expertise for growth in the most valuable and cost effective way. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships with PDR has proven success in achieving:

Development of new ideas
Modernisation of dated products
Reduced production costs & lead times
Investigation of new materials and applications
Implementation of design management systems
New product validation
Integration of new design tools
Investigation into new markets and opportunities
Increased knowledge in the latest rapid and / or low cost tooling techniques
Increase in sales

These Knowledge Transfer Partnerships benefit from substantial government support (typically 67%), and have proven to be an excellent way to build a core capability within an organisation that may be difficult to achieve by any other means.
