PDR has recently been awarded the privilege of hosting the Design Management Europe Awards (DME Awards) in Cardiff. This prestigious event is an integral part of the European Commission’s innovation agenda and Cardiff will be the second host city of the award and conference which rotates annually around Europe; it is joined by the cities of Essen (2007) and Eindhoven (2009) who will also host the DME Awards. PDR; as one of the lead partners and drivers of DME; will host a gala ceremony, conference and workshop that will build the momentum of the DME Award and showcase the best examples of Design Management. 

PDR is also responsible for the research commitment of the ADMIRE programme. Working with INHOLLAND University and the University of Arts and Design Helsinki, PDR will be researching the link between good design management practices and competitiveness. One of the outputs of this exercise will be the development and validation of the Design Management Staircase; a tool developed to assess the design management capability of a business and ascertain competitive and innovation values to the grading.
