PDR recognised more than 15 years ago the difficulty in getting complex plastic and metal parts to market – a vital aspect in achieving customer commitment or commencing financial returns. Many companies require high quality product in the market or for test quickly and at minimum risk with the quality but not the costs of high volume hardened tooling.

PDR have specialised in overcoming these hurdles with significant research and investment since its foundation and are experts in applying the very latest technologies and processes to realise components quickly, reliably and accurately.  We have extensive high speed, high accuracy machining capability driven by the latest 3D CAM software and many years experience in this area for a broad spread of companies and sectors. This capability supports the rapid and accurate production of tools and components specialising in lower volumes and high complexity.

Our knowledge and technologies offer a range of solutions to companies who require anything from 5 to 15,000 parts per annum. Tools are manufactured in a variety of materials and typically utilise specialised aluminium alloys and steels through to toughened tooling steels dependent on the demands of the project.

Lead times are typically 20-25% of traditional tooling lead times with costs anything from 50 - 80% lower. All tools are designed in house and subjected to extensive mouldflow analysis.
